Wildfire Mitigation Specialist
The Wildfire Mitigation Specialist is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and leading FireSmart activities and wildfire risk reduction initiatives within the District of Houston. Reporting directly to the Director of Protective Services, this position integrates public education, program coordination, home and neighbourhood hazard assessments, administrative oversight, and community engagement to reduce wildfire risk and enhance local resiliency. This position is for a 2-year, full-time term and is a 100% grant-funded position. This position is an exempt, non-unionized position.

Receptionist I (Leisure Services)
Under the general supervision of the Director of Leisure Services and directly supervised by the Deputy Director of Leisure Services, this position provides customer, clerical and cashiering support to the Leisure Facility. Casual Lifeguards
The Houston Leisure Facility has a standing opening for Casual Lifeguards - inquire today about position availability!
In order to qualify, you must have certification from the National Lifesaving Society, a CPR "C" Certificate, and Standard First Aid Level 1 training. Previous experience as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certification are preferable, but not necessary for the position.
