Private Pool Rental Rates

| 75-100 swimmers | $141.15/hour |
Supervision Requirements
- One adult supervisor in the water is required for every 10 children aged 8 years and older.
- Children aged 7 and under must:
- Wear a wristband, and
- Remain within arm’s reach of an adult at all times.
- One adult may supervise a maximum of 3 children aged 7 and under.
- Additional adult supervisors may be required depending on group age ranges.
Private Swim Availability
- Limited weekday private swim opportunities may be available depending on programming and staffing schedules.
- Bookings are subject to staff availability and require a minimum of 2-week notice.

- Rental Rate: $18.60/hour plus applicable taxes
- Damage Deposit: $55.00
Arena Access
- During ice season: renters check in with arena staff
- During summer/dry florr season: renters check in at the Houston Leisure Facility

Approved Seating Plan- Up to 225 people (non-alcohol events)
- Up to 208 guests (rectangular seating with alcohol)
- Up to 176 guests (round table setup with alcohol)
- Includes stage and optional kitchen access
- Must choose from approved seating plan layouts or have layout approved by the Fire Chief

- Stage: 15’ x 14’
- Ceiling Height: 16’ – 20’

Cancellation Policy
- No penalty with:
- 1 month notice (peak season: Nov 1-Dec 31 & July 1-Labour Day)
- 2 week notice (regular season)
- Late cancellations are subject to a 25% fee

Event Regulations Bylaw Compliance
All events must comply with the District’s Event Regulations Bylaw, as amended. This bylaw outlines requirements related to permits, insurance, liquor licensing, safety approvals, and event operations.
Payment
- Reservations can be held for up to 2 weeks
- Full payment is required to confirm your booking
Insurance & Licence Requirements
All renters are required to obtain liability insurance for their event.
- $2 million liability insurance required naming the District of Houston as an additional insured
- Proof of insurance required within one week of booking
- Alcohol service requires a BC Liquor Licence
- Food service may require a Northern Health Temporary Food Permit
Event insurance can be obtained through: Event Policy Canada
Decorations
- No nails, staples, confetti (masking tape only)
- Decorative materials must be flame-resistant
Renter Responsibilities
The renter is responsible for:
- Supervising the event and attendees
- Following rental permit times
- Ensuring all facility rules are followed
- Any damage to the building, furniture, fixtures, or equipment during the rental period
