About the Arena
Built in the 1970s, the Claude Parish Memorial Arena has been an important part of recreation and community life in Houston for generations. Named in memory of Claude Parish, a respected member of the Houston community whose legacy continues through this valued recreational facility.
Operating from September through March, the arena provides a home for hockey, figure skating, ringette, shinny hockey, public skating, tournaments, and other community programming throughout the fall and winter seasons.
Houston is proud of its strong hockey and skating culture, and the arena continues to be a gathering place for players, families, and fans of all ages.

Public Skate is free for all users!
Shinny Hockey
Age Categories
- Child: 9–12 years
- Youth: 13–16 years
- Adult: 17+ years
Drop-In Rate
$5.00 per session (cash only). Goalies play free!
Shinny punch passes are available for purchase at the Houston Leisure Facility.
Public Skating Sponsorship
