Steelhead Park
Situated along Highway 16, Steelhead Park is truly a community landmark. Home to the iconic ‘World’s Largest Fly Rod’, this beautifully maintained park features walking trails, a playground, dog run, picnic areas, fountains, and colourful flower gardens. It’s a favourite gathering place for residents and a must-stop for visitors passing through. *New playground coming in Summer 2026!
LocationJamie Baxter Memorial Park
Running along West 14th Street near the Houston Health Centre, Jamie Baxter Park is a hub of activity. The park includes a skateboard park, BMX track, ball diamond, playground, and picnic area. The park’s amphitheatre hosts community events, such as Houston’s Canada Day celebration and movies in the park.
LocationDuck Pond Walking Trails
Accessible from Hungerford Drive, Hagman Crescent, or Nadina Way, the Duck Pond is a peaceful natural retreat. Visitors can enjoy walking trails, benches, and a viewing platform perfect for feeding ducks. It’s a popular spot for quiet walks, wildlife viewing, and taking in the scenery.

Found at the far end of Mountain View Drive, Four Seasons Park is a large, multi-use recreational area. The park features four ball diamonds, soccer fields, a large fenced dog park, rodeo grounds, and a riding arena. It’s a key venue for community and sporting events.

Located 14 km west Houston, Irrigation Lake is a popular summer destination for swimming, relaxing, and family outings. Visitors can enjoy picnic areas, fire pits, a sandy beach, and a wheelchair accessible dock installed in 2025.

Located approximately 4 km west of Houston via Highway 16 and Morice River Road, By-Mac Park offers an outdoor experience along the Morice River. The park features nine unserviced campsites, a boat launch, and picnic areas, making it a great destination for camping, fishing, or a day by the river. *Campground redevelopment, including serviced campsites, washrooms, and shower facilities coming in Summer 2026.
