Hosted by the District of Houston, Canada Day celebrations typically include a variety of free and family-friendly activities such as:

Houston Light Up is a festive community celebration held annually during the holiday season in Houston, BC. Organized by the Houston & District Chamber of Commerce, the event brings residents, businesses, and visitors together to celebrate the start of the Christmas season.
The event typically features:

Wet’suwet’en Thursday Lunches are community gatherings that provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to come together, share a meal, and learn more about Wet’suwet’en culture, traditions, and community connections.
These lunches help foster community relationships, cultural awareness, and meaningful conversations in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Events may feature traditional foods, guest speakers, storytelling, cultural sharing, and opportunities to connect with community members.

Movies in the Park is a family-friendly summer event hosted in Jamie Baxter Park in Houston, BC. Residents and visitors are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks to enjoy an outdoor movie experience.
