Closed for Construction – 2026 Season
The campground is currently closed for the 2026 season due to ongoing construction and upgrades within the park. The campground upgrades will include 16 new RV campsites with 30-amp power and washroom and shower facilities to support tourism and community use.
The District hopes to reopen the campground in time for the Steelhead fishing season, pending construction progress and site conditions. Please continue to check for updates throughout the season.

District of Houston Campground Rules & Regulations
The following campground rules and regulations are in place to help ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all campground users.
- Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for picking up and disposing of pet waste.
- The removal or alteration of trees and shrubs, including the gathering of firewood, is strictly prohibited.
- The installation or alteration of permanent structures is not permitted.
- All vehicles, including campers and trailers, must have a valid license plate and active insurance.
- Camping rates must be paid in full prior to or at the time of occupying a campsite. Payments may be made at the payment deposit box onsite or at the District Office, 3367 12th Street, during regular operational hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, closed statutory holidays).
- The maximum length of stay per campsite is 14 consecutive days.
- Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not accepted.
- Excessive noise is strictly prohibited between the hours of:
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Monday through Saturday
- 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM Sundays and statutory holidays
- Consumption of controlled substances, including liquor or cannabis, is only permitted within registered campsites.
- Valuables should not be left unattended or unsecured. In the event of theft, please report incidents to the RCMP at 250-845-2204. The District of Houston is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.
- Campground users are reminded to be mindful of wildlife. Food must be stored in vehicles or airtight containers to avoid attracting bears or other wildlife.
- Campsites must be left in the same condition as they were upon arrival.
- The District of Houston reserves the right to pursue legal action against any user or their property if damage is caused to campground or District property.
- Campfires are only permitted within designated campsites. Campground users must comply with all fire bans and restrictions issued by the BC Wildfire Service.
