The District of Houston would like to advise residents that the Jamie Baxter Multi-Use Path will be temporarily closed on Thursday, September 3, and Friday, September 4, 2026 to allow crews to install gravel shouldering along the trail.

During this work, construction equipment will be operating throughout the project area. The temporary closure is necessary to ensure the safety of both the public and construction crews while the work is being completed.

Residents are asked to respect all posted signage, barriers, and closures and to avoid entering the work zone during this time.

The District appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this project moves closer to completion.
