Service Requests
About
The District of Houston offers an online Service Request Portal for submitting service requests, inquiries, and bylaw complaints. The portal provides a convenient way to report issues, request assistance, and follow up on submissions as needed.
If you are submitting a Bylaw Complaint, please see below for what information to include in your complaint. For more information, visit our Bylaw Enforcement page.
- Your name, address, and contact information as the official complainant,
- Your relationship to the property or person that is the center of the complaint, and
- The location and description of the issue.
Complainants may be asked to provide more specific information depending on the nature of the complaint. It is at the discretion of the Bylaw Enforcement Officer whether a complaint needs to be investigated.
Benefits of using the Service Request Portal include:
- Easy online submission – submit requests anytime from any device
- Status tracking – monitor the progress of your request in one place
- Improved efficiency – requests are routed to the appropriate department
