About
The District of Houston Aerodrome, located approximately 13 km west of Houston and just south of Highway 16, provides an important aviation hub for local and regional access in Northwestern British Columbia. The aerodrome features a 4,000 ft runway and occupies approximately 146 acres of land. While it does not offer scheduled commercial passenger service, it supports general aviation activity and helps connect residents, businesses, and visitors to the broader regional air network.
District of Houston Aerodrome
The 146-acre aerodrome land base represents an attractive development opportunity for aviation-related uses, with available lands for lease that may suit private or commercial hangar development and other compatible aerodrome-support facilities.
A unique advantage of the District of Houston Aerodrome is access to nearby water for floatplane operations, supporting a broader range of aviation activities. Houston also offers an affordable and welcoming northern lifestyle, access to outdoor recreation and tourism opportunities, and proximity to key regional markets along the Highway 16 corridor.
